I do have scads waiting to be read - from friends, tag sales, thrift shop. If I were to keep books, I'd sort them by topic and then within the topic, I'd sort them by height. I like the look of some standing and some placed flat and stacked. I'd also put vases with silk or dried or fresh flowers, framed photos, etc. among the books for interest.

I'd love those shelves to hold my scrapping stuff and have it all in cute straw boxes.

Did your husband make them?Tina in CThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01389744278715174313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2595455474620649902.post-44926187736078447072009-08-14T23:25:47.127+01:002009-08-14T23:25:47.127+01:00renovations are looking great! :) it's so coo...renovations are looking great! :) it's so cool we got to see your place beforehand, so now I have a little idea what it looks(ed) like... and have an idea of the layout. I think my books are generally by subject...all the books in Russian are up there, and "new" books, for the most part. In the living room, I realize, I've put the old books, hardbacks with pretty covers. But, for all that, they tend to be literature.Anniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12623179886908222942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2595455474620649902.post-70251100030843134582009-08-14T09:44:08.338+01:002009-08-14T09:44:08.338+01:00Only because you strive to be goofier than me, a l...Only because you strive to be goofier than me, a lifelong challenge in which you are, sadly, doomed to failure. I have a hard time remembering to upload my photos there, but seems like such a nice way to organize them.
Oh, and I love knitting lace (simple patterns so far) as well. It's very pleasing to see all the little holes etc.Ginnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05554195760602365553noreply@blogger.com
